Ford Motor Company MDM Developer in Chennai, India
Master Data Management (MDM) Informatica IDQ and MDM Developer will be responsible for applying MDM strategies, requirements and policies aligned to the company's vision, and supporting an MDM implementation on Informatica platform technologies. In the role you will learn to design and develop the information architecture for a robust MDM platform that matches and consolidates key data subject areas in a manner that is aligned to the company's strategic vision.
Prior experience implementing MDM Solutions with Informatica is required.
Prior experience implementing MDM Solutions with Informatica IDMC Cloud is a plus.
Must have hands-on experience across the various phases of a typical MDM solution - data profiling, data integration, validation, cleansing, standardization, matching, consolidation etc.
Strong understanding of Data structures and relationships
Strong Data analysis skills, strong in SQL
Understand and assess the Source to target map documents and provide the recommendations if any.
Knowledgeable in technology and software development processes
Strong presentation development and delivery skills
Proactive and strategic thinker; able to look ahead and foresee issues and plan around the issues
Primary responsibility will be Informatica IDQ and Informatica MDM development, strong SQL skills are essential. In addition to technical skills, background in Data Management and how it relates to the business needs of Ford internal customers such as Purchasing, Finance and Accounting, Manufacturing and Service. The lifecycle of materials to support enterprise business processes is a plus. Able to work on a diverse and global team is essential.
Informatica MDM Configuration: Configure and customize Informatica MDM to define entity types, relationships, business rules, match and merge strategies, and user interfaces.
Data Modeling: Work with data architects and stakeholders to design and maintain the data model within the MDM system, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Data Integration: Integrate data from various source systems into Informatica MDM, performing data profiling, cleansing, and transformation to ensure data quality and integrity.
Match and Merge: Implement match and merge rules to identify and consolidate duplicate records within the party entities, enabling a single and accurate view of each entity.
Data Quality Management: Define and implement data quality rules and workflows within the MDM system to monitor, measure, and improve data quality across party related data.
Data Governance: Ensure adherence to data governance principles and data security best practices during MDM implementation and data management processes.
Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks within the MDM system and optimize data loading, matching, and retrieval processes for efficient and seamless data operations.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data architects, data analysts, and business users, to understand data requirements and deliver MDM solutions that meet business needs.
Testing and Validation: Conduct unit testing and integration testing to validate MDM configurations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data within the MDM repository.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, configuration guides, and troubleshooting manuals for the MDM implementation.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (minimum of 12 years), or an associate degree with a minimum of 6 years of equivalent work experience
4+ years of experience in Informatica MDM and IDQ design, development and implementation
In-depth knowledge of Informatica MDM tools, including MDM Hub, and ActiveVOS.
Familiarity with data modeling principles and data integration techniques.
Strong understanding of data quality management and data governance practices within an MDM environment.
Proficiency in data profiling, data cleansing, and data transformation processes.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot MDM-related issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
Prior experience with other MDM tools or cloud-based MDM solutions is advantageous.
Informatica MDM certifications, such as Informatica MDM Developer Specialist are highly desirable.
Review and analyze ongoing business requirements
Build useful and efficient reporting for validating MDM activities
Analyze existing SQL queries and suggest new ones for improvements
Create scripts and procedures for data migration and offer timely scheduled reporting
