Ford Motor Company Category Manager - Contingent Labor in Dearborn, Michigan

In this position...

Will be responsible for forging relationships with Magnet Ford's(master service provider) that manages all of the company's agency employees

Vendor management

You will be tasked with creating the master category strategy, and driving said strategy across the globe

  • Create Master Category Strategy (MCS) for Contingent Labor

  • Drive consistency of global business processes of contingent labor procured via our Master Service Provider (MSP), where possible

  • Ensure understanding of legislation related to workers' rights, pay parity, immigration, privacy legislation, tenure. Operate as the single point of contact related to these matters for North America

  • Develop global knowledge related to regional similarities and differences related to various legislation impacting contingent labor

  • Single point of contact for all items related to the Vendor Management System (VMS) used to procure, on/ off-board and pay for contingent labor globally

  • Continually drive the business to identify opportunities for cost savings

  • Analyze dashboard metrics to enable dialogue to optimize competitive placements

  • Lead identification of process improvements, improving customer experience, improve speed of identification and onboarding of candidates

  • Lead monthly global governance meetings with key customers and MSP to discuss/ resolve issues

  • Co-lead twice monthly global technology change forum related to VMS with IT Portfolio Manager (authentication/security, iERP launch, consolidated billing file, feeder file to internal HR HCM system, etc.)

  • Research and understand the external supply market (key industry trends/issues)

  • Lead annual benchmarking activity with key customers to align targets to external market to ensure cost competitiveness (US & Canada)

  • Lead all negotiations (contracts for new suppliers, transitions from Purchased Service, other cost reduction actions)

  • Provide consistent communications with various business office leads/customers to drive category management

  • Flexibility to work in all segments (Ford Blue, Model e, Ford Pro)

  • Proficient in Excel/ pivot tables (preferred)

  • Challenge status quo with strategic mindset

  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with the various Analytics dashboards

  • Ability to build/ maintain constructive internal and external business relationships at all levels

  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Customer service oriented with a “can do/ will do” attitude

  • Knowledge/ experience in both CPARs and Aurora

  • Genuine interest and excitement for leading innovative change

This position is a range of salary grades LL6 .
