Ford Motor Company Network Systems Developer in Dearborn, Michigan

The Network Systems Developer will work with Network Management and Monitoring software to provide visibility into enterprise data systems. This will require detailed knowledge of network architecture and functionality and the software used to report and maintain service availability. The candidate will need the ability to work with a diverse team including network administrators, planners, and vendors. Key skills are needed in cloud services, software, and hardware integration, and written and oral communication. Candidate must be available for after-hours on-call rotation to serve as Level 3 support.

What you’ll do…

  • Participate in the implementation of Catalyst Center, Thousand Eyes, SevOne, LogScale and Cloud Pak (AIOps).

  • Customize network management systems to automate monitoring processes and procedures; including but not limited to dashboards, test set-up, and custom customer requirements.

  • Provide network monitoring system support and hold regular seminars to train Network Operations staff as well as Network Performance Management users including management.

  • Troubleshooting, patching, upgrading of Network Performance Management systems.

  • Understand security and control processes (GRC), and work with a security and audit mindset.

  • Serve as a Technical Expert, aiding internal Ford customers.

  • Provide after-hours on-call Level 3 support.

  • Work with the Network Automation team to automate processes and simplify work.

Qualifications

You’ll have…

  • Require a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Require a minimum of 2+ years of experience

  • Experience with Catalyst Center, SevOne, and LogScale.

  • Ability to do scripting in Python and Bash.

  • Cloud experience with GCP.

  • Analytics and Dashboard creation experience in Logscale.

  • Ability to develop weather maps in SevOne.

  • Understanding of network devices, and associated architectures.

Even better, you may have…

  • Cloud Network architecture experience.

  • CCNA certification, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with Agile projects, and utilizing tools, i.e., Rally.

  • Artificial Intelligence training, including algorithm knowledge and application skills.
