Ford Motor Company Corporate Communications Specialist in Essex, United Kingdom

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Communications Specialist to join our Marketing & Communications team at Ford Credit, the financial services arm of the business. The successful candidate will support the Marketing & Corporate Communications Manager in delivering our European internal and external communications plans. The role will involve developing and sharing compelling communications that drive employee awareness, engagement and behaviour internally plus enhance the reputation of the bank and contribute to its growth externally.

  • Proactive planning, research and creation of content for our employee channels including written articles, video content and social posts.

  • Co-ordinating the rollout of any corporate messaging in liaison with Ford and Ford Credit's global and local communications team.

  • Arranging and facilitating monthly employee meetings including securing speakers, on-the-day moderation and sharing post event materials.

  • Drafting and distributing press releases, media statements, and other PR materials.

  • Maintaining a content planner, finding moments for proactive storytelling, media comments, and PR campaign content to maximise editorial opportunities and coverage.

  • Support the Marketing & Corporate Communications Manager in handling media enquiries and managing relationships with key media and Ford Credit's PR agency.

  • Planning and support for optimising sponsorship opportunities and partnership activities.

  • Staying up-to-datewith communication trends to recommend how the business should engage with both employees and the media.

  • Support for diverse strategic projects and initiatives, as required.

  • 3+ years’ experience of working within a busy marketing communications team, developing compelling content for a variety of channels and audiences.

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field is desirable.

  • Good communicator with strong verbal, presentation and particularly written skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the business and the media.

  • Proven track record of delivering impactful content from initial ideation and creation to distribution.

  • Keen eye for detail but also a creative thinker, who has the confidence to pitch new ideas and lead them through to execution.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of emerging practices and trends in communications technologies and channels.
