In this position...

Come join the fast-paced RWD Propulsion Team! We have design, integration and launch responsibility for RWD hybrid and RWD hydraulic transmissions used in vehicles like the Mustang, Bronco, F-150 and other global product lines! Our team is looking for an engineer to help design, validate and release RWD hybrid hardware modules and RWD hybrid propulsion systems to be used on a wide range of exciting vehicle lines.

This position will be focused on the design and validation of RWD hybrid modules.

Serve as a “go fast” PD engineer responsible for RWD hybrid propulsion systems on both in-flight architecture and future designs

Take ownership of the DV and PV strategies to deliver a best in class propulsion systems

Work as a team to improve part quality and increase the customer experience

Lead teams through vehicle level and transmission level milestones

Lead testing requirements and execution of system signoff requirements

Must be in Livonia Michigan 3 days a week or more depending on specific testing/hardware needs

Work with Ford Powertrain Manufacturing and Ford Vehicle Assembly Plants on manufacturing related improvement actions

You'll have...

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Vehicle repair or vehicle diagnostics background

Calibration and vehicle data collection knowledge

Hands-on problem solver and strong root cause skills

Independent, self-starter when required.

Good communicator and can foster relationships with suppliers

A “be curious” and “continued improvement” mindset

A strong drive to both learn from and teach others

Even better, you may have...

E-motor and hybrid architecture design experience preferred

Hydraulic controls experience

Product Launch experience

Cal tools experience preferred; ATI, INCA, ETAS, etc.

This position is a range of salary grades SG5-SG8 .
