Ford Motor Company TCU Performance Engineer in Nanjing, China

Work closely with TCU application engineer, TCU core team and even a broader team, to define TCU Cellular Performance metrics for China Cellular Environment based program practices, mobile industry references and China customer expectations for vehicle connectivity.
Work closely with TCU application engineer and TCU core team to ensure TCU cellular performance and TCU GNSS performance for China Cellular Environment
Conduct system-level analysis based on current TCU Cellular Design and w/ interfaces to Carrier, identify the systematic gap between China and US (where TCU is originally designed and tested)
Organize system-level testing and testing and validation plan based on identified system gaps, this may include TCU component level testing in Cellular/GNSS Lab, or TCU-Cellular Road testing in actual Cellular/GNSS environment.
To refer to other industry standards and specifications as best practices of above activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues, including component and vehicle diagnosis and fault analysis.
Lead TCU Component End of Line (EOL) testing processes for Cellular / GNSS related items, ensuring all products meet quality and performance criteria before release.
Collaborate with suppliers and partners to define requirements and review technical proposals.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in automotive cellular connectivity protocols.
Provide technical support and training to team members and stakeholders, including diagnostic procedures, EOL test protocols, and test bench operations.
Develop and maintain documentation related to vehicle diagnosis strategies, EOL testing results, and validation plans.
Proven experience in automotive (or Mobile) system design and development, particularly with cellular technologies.
Strong understanding of 3GPP protocols for LTE and 5G, including but not limited to RRC, L2 and L1 specifications.
Familiar with UE and base station system architecture.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and automotive development processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiar with AUTOSAR or other automotive software architectures.
Familiar with Linux Operating System
Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostic tools, test bench setup, and software.
