In our Office of General Counsel , you’ll be part of an organization that collaborates with outside counsel to operate as a global team and deliver world-class legal, tax and audit services to client groups throughout the company.

In this position...

You can join a group of privacy professionals dedicated to helping Ford deliver great products and services globally with privacy by design

You can build strong relationships with key business partners with whom we partner to identify winning privacy solutions – together, as a team

What you'll do...

• Advise on compliance with U.S. state and federal privacy laws to support business initiatives

• Attend client meetings to spot potential privacy issues early and proactively address potential privacy risks

• Work with legal, policy and operational teams to develop risk mitigation approaches

• Partner with regional and local privacy attorneys to support global projects that require enterprise solutions

You'll have...

• JD degree, and active member of a U.S. state bar association, in good standing

• 5+ years at a major law firm or large corporation providing privacy legal advice or supporting privacy compliance strategy and implementation

• Availability for meetings during Dearborn, MI working hours

• Ability to travel to Dearborn MI as needed for in-person meetings (approx. 1-2 times per year)

• Ability to manage simultaneous, complex projects under deadline pressure, with flexibility as to types of projects assigned

• Solid business acumen

• A great listener, analytical and visionary thinker, and problem solver

• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills; ability to foster strong relationships with key business partners and provide legal advice in a confident, self-assured manner

• Ability to work very well in teams, including cross-functional, global teams

• Ability to manage multiple internal stakeholders and balance differing opinions and perspectives

• Ability to interact comfortably with executives and senior management

• Experience with emerging technology

• A commitment to professionalism

• OEM experience a plus

• Certified Information Privacy Professional with the International Association of Privacy Professionals is preferred
