What you'll do...

Our BlueCruise Product team collaborates with our go-to-market team, ADAS engineering team, Digital Design, and other product managers to build & ship the most confidence inspiring driver assistance technology in the market. We are looking for experienced digital product managers who have a passion for growing their skills, have experience and enthusiasm around ADAS technology, and are motivated to be challenged as we build the future of advanced driving at Ford.

This leader will be charged with all aspects of developing and driving forward the major functional aspects of the BlueCruise roadmap in market today. This role will be responsible for the elements of L2+ product definition that drive the customer-facing releases of BlueCruise and subsequent partner system dependencies. This includes customer engagement/disengagement of Hands-Free driving, the definition and priority of potential new features, and the in-vehicle experience associated.

Success will be met by clearly articulating feature priority, rationale, and costs based on a strong assessment of desirability, viability, and feasibility. This role will be charged with managing a large & complex stakeholder map using clear communication skills- including the ability to develop concise requirements through PRDs, lead other to develop clear PRDs, and communicate strategies to leadership.

  • Collaborate with ADAS Tech Strategy, ADAS Engineering, and the BlueCruise Go-to-market team on the end-to-end vision, strategy, and product roadmap of BlueCruise.

  • Contribute towards the ongoing development and delivery of BlueCruise’s functional roadmap, based on clear and well communicated understanding of viability, feasibility, and desirability.

  • Lead a matrixed team across a Digital Design / Product Management / Engineering triad to deliver major aspects of the BlueCruise product roadmap.

  • Become the undisputed expert on existing & potential customers of L2 driving products and how there needs are / can be met.

  • Conduct primary research (interviews, surveys, etc.)  to inform all aspects of the product roadmap.

  • Talk to customers, visit dealers, experience competitive products.

  • Collect and analyze product data to inform major strategic decisions around the BlueCruise roadmap.

  • Write clear and concise product requirements in the form of PRDs that articulate the vision, goals, and key elements of new BlueCruise features. Communicate and drive requirements forward across a wide stakeholder map of Engineers, Designers, Project Managers, and Business Leaders.

  • Coordinate with ADAS Tech Strategy and relevant vehicle systems engineering teams to assess feasibility and viability; drive delivery timing of complex vehicles Software changes in support of the Product Roadmap, including Over-The-Air Software Updates

  • Manage & make tradeoff decisions on BlueCruise product features based on input from customer desirability, delivery feasibility & complexity, product viability, and business strategy. Clearly communicate tradeoff proposals to Sr. Leadership to gain alignment.

  • Practice empathy on a daily basis – and contribute towards a dynamic, fast moving team

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, Computer Science, or related field of study

  • 7+ years of Product Management experience, having shipped successful digital products in the past.

  • 6+ years of people management experience

  • 6+ years of experience in front-end customer experience products.

  • 6+ years of experience working with ADAS or Autonomy products.

  • 6+ years of experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.

  • 6+ years of experience managing a backlog in a complex global organization.

  • 6+ years of experience with end-to-end product delivery.

Even better, you may have...

  • Masters Degree in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, Psychology/Human Factors, Fine Arts, Communications, or related field.

  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven record of creating, documenting, and presenting product strategy and features.

  • Experience with conducting product discovery and user validation.

  • Experience working with product designers, engineers, and business partners

  • Familiar with agile framework.

  • Strong product intuition with a passion for creating innovative, experience-driven products.

  • Conviction to always do what's best for customers, with a humility to listen and learn.

  • Flexibility to adapt to change and influence in a dynamic environment.

  • Foundational, analytical, and technical: you can collect and analyze data from various sources, identify key insights, spot optimization opportunities, and inform product decisions.

  • Comfortable in highly ambiguous scenarios and with problem solving across a highly matrixed organizational environment.

  • Are entrepreneurial, independently driven, inventive, and able to deliver results with minimum direction.

  • Experience regularly presenting and communicating to executive leadership, especially through Product Requirements Documents (PRDs)
