POSITION RESPONSIBILITES
Strong Analytical skills of data from a variety of internal and external sources to deliver the best value to Ford
Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies
Manage supplier price change requests, resourcing actions, market tests and lead cost reduction projects
Maintain supplier active pricing in purchasing files
Lead supplier commercial negotiations and resolve issues affecting part supply, including distressed supplier situations
Insure suppliers adherence to Ford Global Terms and Conditions
Insure timely responses to all quality issues and processing of SREA’s and Alerts, when applicable
Meet deadlines for all buyer requests. Examples are Q1 updates, payment terms evaluations, etc.
Manage timely resolution of part sourcing and pricing issues
Quote and negotiate pricing with suppliers for the purchase of service parts, tooling and services
Assist in resolution of cost, quality and delivery issues affecting supply
Work with other Buyers in both Service and Production to develop strategies and implement solutions
POSITION PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
BA / BS Degree is preferred – MBA a plus
Previous Purchasing experience (5+ years of experience)
SAP S/4 Hana knowledge
Strong verbal and written communication skills including negotiation skills
Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills
Strong analytical skills and proficient in using Word and Excel; Access skills a plus
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams
Comfortable dealing in internal and external conflicts
Project management skills and process discipline
